Golf Instruction Print E-mail
Golf instruction has long been a critical component of our plan for Marshfield Country Club.  When Darrell Acker Sr., PGA professional first purchased MCC in 1965, his first action was to establish a golf training program through the Marshfield Park and Recreation department. In addition to these programs, he conducted countless group lesson programs through Marshfield Country Club.  Of course, private golf lessons were also a main focus through the years.

Darrell's son Chip (who just was elected to the Quarter Century Club of the PGA of America, 2009) was also active in teaching golfers, and is now the Director of Instruction at MCC.

Golf instructor, Tom Brockman rounds out our golf instruction staff.  Tom is a 27 year veteran of the golf industry and is a Class A member of the United States Golf Teachers Federation (USGTF).  Tom is an accomplished teacher and specializes in beginning golfers. He can be reached at 384-4409 to arrange for golf lessons.

Over the past 43 years, we have provided golf instruction to over 10,000 separate individuals, and have analyzed an estimated 2 million golf swings during their teaching at Marshfield Country Club.

It is safe to say that our teaching staff has seen just about everything in golf swings, and has made suggestions to fix them all.

As a result of our experience and our zeal for constantly learning the best way to teach golf, we have found that simpler is always better.
We have developed a knack for fixing your golf swing quickly, and simply with a variety of techniques.

So confident are we, that we have an iron clad guarantee, if our instruction doesn't help you, it's free.

To book a lesson with Darrell Sr., please call 384-4409 or the Practice Center at 389-1411. To contact Chip call 384-4409 or email him at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

In the meantime, we have selected a few of our golf instruction tips that you can download free, I am sure that you will enjoy them.
